Our Partnerships

Children's Cancer Fund

Children’s Cancer Fund champions kids in their fight against cancer through strategic investments in research and care in North Texas. We are closely affiliated with Children's Medical Center and UT Southwestern Medical Center, both of whom are national leaders in the research and treatment of pediatric cancer.

By working closely with these respected organizations, we are able to strategically focus our funds on improving treatment and care methods for North Texas children who are affected by all types of pediatric cancer. In addition, we are able to help improve the quality of their lives, bringing families who are going through treatments together through the various fun and social events we sponsor throughout the year.

Our annual spring gala is one of Dallas’ biggest events, where pediatric cancer patients take center stage alongside Honorary Chairs Troy Aikman and Dak Prescott. Izzy loved the gala, and we are honored to partner with her family in keeping her memory alive.

The TeamIzzy Foundation Research Endowment supported by Children’s Cancer Fund was created in honor of Isabelle (Izzy) Grace Martin. This endowment was established to create a special fund that will champion research on pediatric osteosarcoma. The money from this fund will be used to push forward this important research.

Izzy participated in the Children’s Cancer Fund fashion show and gala in April of 2022, just three months before passing. Shortly after her runway experience, Izzy expressed how much she loved seeing her healthcare team in the audience and backstage. She knew then that she wanted to find a way to honor these amazing individuals.

At the 2024 fashion show and gala, the TeamIzzy Foundation presented the first ever TeamIzzy Healthcare Award; created in honor of her wish. Facing the unimaginable introduces a patient and their family to an overwhelming number of healthcare professionals. The remarkable ones see beyond the medical charts and truly understand patients holistically, as well as tailor their care to fit each patient's personality and emotional needs.

In honor of such compassion, the TeamIzzy Healthcare Award will be given annually to a healthcare worker employed by Children’s Health℠  in Dallas or Plano. Patients, their families, and fellow caregivers have the opportunity to nominate healthcare workers who truly go above and beyond.

The Dallas-based Osteosarcoma Institute’s (OSI) mission is to dramatically increase treatment options and survival rates in osteosarcoma patients through identifying and funding the most promising and breakthrough osteosarcoma clinical trials and science. The OSI funds breakthrough clinical trials and science to identify new treatments, and ultimately a cure for osteosarcoma. In addition to reviewing and funding science, the OSI created OSI Connect, a free service available to patients and their families, and to reach physicians across the world to discuss general strategies for treatment and available local resources for care relevant to a specific patient with osteosarcoma. Our goals are to remove obstacles, fund advancements, accelerate progress, and raise awareness of osteosarcoma in Dallas/Fort Worth and communities across the United States. The OSI’s healthcare visionaries, founders, staff, and Strategic Advisory Board members have all been impacted by osteosarcoma in their personal lives and careers. We are taking on the persistent problem of osteosarcoma with urgency and a new approach because we care deeply about this mission.

Osteosarcoma Institute

In honor of her birthday on February 7, 2021, Izzy and her family started the #TeamIzzy Osteosarcoma Science Fund with the Osteosarcoma Institute (OSI) to raise funds for a new and innovative clinical trial or study. That year, Izzy fund raised $100,000 for osteosarcoma research. As of March 2024, the TeamIzzy Foundation had contributed a total of $450,000 to the Osteosarcoma Institute to advance research. In 2024, Izzy’s fund at the OSI was renamed the TeamIzzy Foundation Research Fund to underline the incredible impact that Izzy made alongside the community that supported her.

Austin Street Center

Since 1983, Austin Street Center has worked tirelessly to bring an end to homelessness in North Texas. Austin Street provides basic needs and essential support services such as onsite education and employment services, individualized case management, a medical respite program, and access to permanent housing. Austin Street serves two highly vulnerable populations – men over the age of 45 and women over the age of 18, many of whom also suffer from addiction, victimization, or the unexpected loss of resources.  Austin Street’s mission is to provide safe shelter while meeting the basic needs of the most vulnerable homeless. Our goal is that every homeless person who comes to Austin Street Center finds hope, support, and the resources they need to transition out of homelessness.
