“The more we know, the more we can do to help kids like me.

Awareness & Advocacy

More than 10,000 children under the age of 15 are diagnosed with cancer each year in the U.S. Despite major treatment advances in recent decades, too many of these brave patients do not survive five years. And, if they do survive, the treatments are extremely invasive, painful and life altering. In many cases, a cancer diagnosis destroys families—particularly if there is no support system in place to help them through difficult, unimaginable times. Izzy was a big believer in transparency, knowing that honesty was the best way to prepare kids, their families and the public about the challenges juvenile cancer patients face.

Our mission is to educate people about childhood cancer, so the issue is fully understood and steps can be taken to eradicate the disease.

Our Go GOLD Campaign strives to see every school, business and organization making the commitment to to Go GOLD in September during Childhood Cancer Awareness month . Thus showing the kids and families in our communities impacted by childhood cancer we are here, in this fight, with them.

We hope you can join us this September.

Science & Research

Izzy was a practical child—always striving to understand the world around her through facts and data. She realized the importance of supporting research and science and learning as much as we can to prevent, treat and cure cancer while creating better outcomes for kids and families. The Team Izzy Foundation will raise much needed money for organizations that are on the front lines of cancer research.

Family Support

The child life department at our local hospital was instrumental with helping us support Izzy and deal with the disruptions to our family life. Her diagnosis came with so much time away from each other and lots of unpredictable trips to and from the hospital. Support was needed, from day one, for all of us, even in the simplest ways. Our mission is to make sure families have the financial and emotional support to be there for their child during these trying times.

We are excited to continue the legacy of the TeamConnor Childhood Cancer Foundation with their KidzBinz Program. The KidzBinz Program is a must-have for the oncology child life staff and provides patients with carefully curated toys and activites for their age and interest.

Community Impact

Not content to limit her giving nature to a single issue, Izzy loved to serve her local community and her heart felt called to support the homeless and those transitioning out of homelessness. Even at a young age, Izzy understood the cycle of poverty that pervades our society and the difficulties people have breaking out of that cycle. Part of our mission is to continue her drive to help others in need by partnering with local shelters and organizations that provide transition services to the homeless population. Izzy always said that we have a responsibility to help people in all walks of life—and we will continue to carry on that goal through our Service Dayz Events.
